Whether you're buying a mattress direct from our factory, or another brand, such as Sealy, Simmons, Serta, or Tempurpedic, there are certain things you can expect from your new mattress, including:
No Mattresses are the Same.
Since all mattresses are assembled by hand, no two are the same. Each mattress will have unique characteristics that make it your own, including skipped threads, crooked seams, and fabric scuffs—all slight imperfections, which will not affect the performance of your new mattress.
Go Deep.
Mattress technology has evolved to a point where mattresses are made thicker today, than the thinner designs of yesteryear. If you have been sleeping on the same mattress since avocado-colored appliances and orange countertops were hot, you might want to trade in your Star Wars themed sheets for deep pocket sheets. Available at department stores everywhere, deep pocket sheets will fit today’s mattress designs.
First, Second, and Third Impressions.
The more you sleep on your mattress, the more it will conform to your body. Gentle body impressions are completely normal (especially when you sleep like a log!) Impressions of your body are also a great indication that your mattress is doing its job.
Comfort Takes Time.
If you have been sleeping on your old mattress for a while, your new mattress will most certainly feel different. Give it some time to adjust to your body, and for you to adjust to the new feel. You’ll be glad you were patient.
Don’t Break up the Set.
Mattresses and box springs or foundations come in a set for a reason. The
foundation works together with your mattress to give you the kind of
support your body needs. If you use a different foundation, your mattress
will not be supported in the proper places, resulting in sags and poor
performance. The new combination of mattress and non matching foundation
might also render the manufacturer's warranty void. Plus, since mattresses
and box springs are tested in sets under flammability laws, combining your
mattress with another foundation means your mattress will no longer comply
with federal flammability laws. So unless you want a saggy, poor
performing mattress that isn't up to flammability standards and has no
warranty coverage, stick with the foundation that comes with your
mattress.
